Project Overview

Originally constructed around 1938, Worcester’s Old Fire Station formed part of an early 20th-century initiative to create a civic centre in the city. Designed by renowned architects Ivor Jones and Percy Thomas—specialists in civic architecture—the building stood alongside the Police Station as a key component of this vision.

KKE Architects collaborated with Guthrie Roberts Ltd, Worcestershire-based development specialists, to transform this historic landmark into 28 luxury apartments, offering a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. The project retained the character of the original structure, working within its existing shell and roof space, while introducing a striking new penthouse apartment above the adjacent annexe.

The development boasts panoramic views across Worcester’s cathedral cityscape, the River Severn, and the Malvern Hills beyond. Perfectly positioned just steps from the High Street and Cathedral Plaza, it combines heritage with contemporary living in an unrivalled location.
