Founded in 2005, KKE Architects is an architecture and landscape design practice named after its founding directors. We are specialists in healthcare architecture, with a particular expertise in the design of hospices and palliative care environments—having delivered over 57 completed projects to date.
Our broader portfolio includes community living for the ageing population, education, residential, supported living and commercial developments. We are especially committed to socially focused architecture, regularly working with charitable organisations, Local Authorities, and NHS trusts under a variety of funding models to deliver meaningful, community-led projects.
Our work has earned widespread recognition, including RIBA National and Regional Awards, multiple Architects’ Journal awards, such as Housing Project of the Year (up to £10 million). We have also received the Eisteddfod Gold Medal for Architecture, and were named a runner-up in the PassivHaus Awards.
“I had never met them before and when they came in their first slide was an empty rectangle and they said – ‘This is the patient in bed. What should it be like?’ Frankly, they got the job then and there.”
“I’m delighted with our beautiful new Hospice, as is our community. The design has enabled us to double the number of people we care for safely – which was especially critical during the pandemic.”
“From feasibility to practical completion, KKE Architects always responded to the needs of the hospice and have produced an outstanding building and space which will allow us to continue to provide a service to our community for the foreseeable future”
