KKE have followed the progress of the establishment of The Kiln over the last few years and been able to present at the ‘Kiln Mondays’ talks from 2015, One of our technologist at KKE is also on the advisory group for the Kiln as a social enterprise. This project set up the Worcester’s first Co Working space providing a space for self employed, small business startups or people working from home to collaborate and work in and share a creative space. The Kiln provides bookable meetings rooms, hot desking, a postal service and small business support, it is hoped that this will continue to retain students from Worcester University within the city and provide them with the environment to start their own companies within. The existing Victorian Police Station building was stripped backed sympathetically and refurbished back from the main structure, KKE also worked along side Rob Draper ( www.robdraper.co.uk ) as the appointed interior designer to form the final design, the original theme of the police station was taken through the design to create an inspiring motivation interior and the internal layotu was opened up to provide a better flow. The building also now provides a fully wheel chair accessible spaces with showers, Kitchenettes, meeting rooms, and the fastest internet in Worcester.
