RHS Chelsea I
Low Allergen Garden for University of Worcester

LOCATION: Chelsea Flower Show / University of Worcester

COMPLETION:
2010 + 2011

CLIENT: University of Worcester

A garden designed for hay fever sufferers to sit and relax in, without irritation, for the University of Worcester, which won a Silver Gilt medal at Chelsea before being transferred to the University’s own grounds.

The garden is an important demonstration of planting informed by science, with research and design working in balance to create an outdoor space that is appealing, purposeful and conscious of the improvement it can make to the experience of allergy sufferers. Low allergen plants are combined with low allergen materials, from low VOC paints to sustainably sourced timber.
