Our focus is on the needs of people and creating the best environments we can for them.
KKE Architects is an architecture and landscape design practice, established in 2005 and named after its founding directors.
The practice is a specialist in healthcare design – especially the design of hospices and palliative care (over 57 completed projects to date) we also have a growing portfolio of education, residential, residential care and commercial projects.
The practice has a keen agenda to work on socially orientated projects, and as a result we have experience working with a range of charitable organisations, under different funding arrangements, and also with public sector bodies such as Local Authorities and the NHS. This community-led work has won recent recognition including RIBA National, and regional awards, the Architect’s Journal Housing Project of the Year (up to £10 million) Award, the Eisteddfod Architecture Gold medal, and PassivHaus Award runner up.
‘I had never met them before and when they came in their first slide was an empty rectangle and they said – ‘This is the patient in bed. What should it be like?’ Frankly, they got the job then and there.’
Our business is architecture, but our focus is people.
